Minor in Security and Risk Analysis (SRA)
This minor is intended for those students who are interested in Cybersecurity. The SRA minor will prepare students on the importance of securing information systems from a stand-alone computer to a network of computers in a large organization. Students will perform hands-on laboratory exercises that will reinforce topics covered in the theoretical part of the class. The SRA minor courses include topics covering security, 恐怖主义, 网络, 网络取证, and network security.
Declaring the SRA Minor
Students wishing to declare the SRA Minor must have achieved at least third semester (29.1 credits) or has been accepted into their major but prior to the end of the late drop deadline of the student's final semester. Also, students need to have completed the following courses prior to declaring the minor:
- SRA 111: Introduction to Security and Risk Analysis Keystone
- SRA 211: Threat of Terrorism and Crime
- SRA 221: Overview of 信息 Security
Additional required courses include:
- IST 140: Introduction to Application 发展
- IST 220: Networking and Telecommunications
- IST 451: Network Security
- IST 454: Computer and Cyber Forensics
Directions to Declare the SRA Minor
Students declaring the SRA minor must go to “Degree Planning and Progress and use the “Update 365英国上市官网” through LionPATH. The minor is “Security & Rsk Analy (UMNR)- 信息 Sciences and Tech”. The Academic Program is “信息 Sciences and Tech” and the Academic Plan is “Security & Rsk Analy (UMNR).
